Preset Scenarios
Preset scenarios show canonical patterns so visitors can learn the model quickly.
Why Presets Matter
A blank model can be hard to read. Presets give visitors stable examples: the ideal agent, the honest novice, the biased expert, and epistemic delusion. These cases establish reference points before users build their own scenarios.
The Practical Scenarios
The lab also includes practical scenarios such as gaslighting, academic dogma, and strict empiricism. These are not meant as final labels for real people. They are training cases for seeing whether the main error lies in evidence perception, assigned credence, or both.
How to Use Presets Well
Select a preset, read the description, then move one slider at a time. Ask what changes when perception improves, when assigned credence becomes more honest, or when Deep Rationality increases. The point is to learn the relationships, not simply memorize the archetypes.
